Tuna tataki with mango and avocado salad



 Ingredients:


  • 2 x 150g rectangular fresh tuna steaks
  • 2 tbsp black sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp white sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp sushi soy sauce
  • 1 Mango
  • 2 avocado
  • 1 small tomato
  • 1 lime juice
  • Fresh parsley



Directions:


  • Place the avocado in a serving bowl, and mix with the lime juice. Mix in the mango, tomato, parsley and salt if needed.
  • Combine sesame seeds on a large plate. Coat tuna in oil and roll in sesame seeds. Heat a non-stick pan over high heat and sear tuna for exactly 40 seconds on each side until just colored.
  • Slice tuna into 1cm thick slices and arrange each slice overlapping the other slightly.
  • Serve with soy sauce
